VALUES EDUCATION-Last Journal Entry

REFLECTION ON MY REALTIONSHIPS BETWEEN FRIENDS

1. The lessons I had learned from my past and present relationships are how to handle that relationship for us to maintain the good bonding. I also learned how to act properly when interacting with my friends. Even if we are very close to each other, still, we have the limitations. And from all the experiences I had from them, I will never forget how they had changed my life into the better one.
2. In order to make a relationship work, first thing you must prioritize is the love to that person/s. If you are interested with them and you love them, it will be easy for you to commit your own self to the relationship. This commitment will help you to make your relationship lasts.
3. My advice is just enjoy the life, but limit your actions to avoid trouble. Do not forget to feel them how they are important to you. Never be tired of doing little things for them. Sometimes, those little things are the big things which are treasured and kept in their hearts.

VALUES EDUCATION-9th Meeting

1. I experienced negative pressure when I was in high school and even this 1st semester. I was forced by my friends to go to the mall after class even without the permission of my parents.
2. Even if they really forced me to go, I still did not go because I was highly influenced by my angel (conscience).
3. I felt very respectable about my decision.
4. I have learned from my experience that it is not bad to disapprove all the happy things in life because if that thing is not for the better, it is worthy to lose them than to punish and regret.

VALUES EDUCATION-8th Meeting

1.
a) The challenge I had taken is to avoid cutting a class for me to review for the exam on the next class.
b) I was able to do the challenge and I feel proud yet little disappointed. I feel proud because I was able to control and avoid myself from doing bad, and little disappointed because I was not able to prepare for the examination.
c) I realized that it is good that I was able to control myself and I learned that I should be strict in budgeting my time so that I can do all my responsibilities and preparations for a task.

VALUES EDUCATION-7th Meeting

From the results of my personal heath assessment, I realized that I am not that a healthy person especially in physical aspects. In order to be a healthy person, I plan to give time for myself to have rest for me to return my lose energies. I should also have a balanced diet with lots of water and vitamin C to make my resistance stronger.

VALUES EDUCATION-6th Meeting

1.
a) The challenge I had taken is getting a high score in the quiz in
Chemistry.
b) I was able to beat the challenge and I felt happy and fulfilled.
c) I realized that I can always get high scores in all courses if only study
hard.
2. I was not able to watch the whole film but the most striking scene for me is the one that shows the effects of global warming to the Earth. My emotions while watching the film are alarmed, complicated, and depressing. After watching the film, I realized that we must now think not only ourselves but also other people. We must take care all of the things around us especially the things that God had given us. The actions that I can commit in order to take care of the environment is by properly segregating the trashes, using the right amount of papers, and saving electricity and water.

VALUES EDUCATION-5th Meeting

The most challenging thing I have ever accomplished was when I learned how to drive a single bike. Yes, learning how to drive a single bike made me challenged. I just learned how to bike when I was in third year high school. When I was still a kid, my friends taught me several times how to bike; unfortunately, I did not make it, because I did not have yet the self- confidence, and I was afraid. Consequently, when we lived in Malitlit, I found a new friend and he was very nice. I also found that my friend and his nephew were good in biking. Of course, it made me amazed because they drove the bike very fast without holding on the handle. As soon as we became a little close to each other, they taught me how to drive it. Even though I was afraid to get injuries, I kept in my mind that I should learn it by now because I was not a kid now and it was a shame that my younger sister who was 6 years old younger than me had already did that. Fortunately, I learned how to drive a single bike without getting any injuries, and it was because of my full effort, dedication, determination, and focus, and with the support of my friends, and my sister.

SELF RESPECT/ RESPECT FOR OTHERS

1.)Looking back at the list of my positive characteristics and qualities, I feel proud in the sense that people appreciate what they see in me and knowing that I have positive qualities.

2.)
a)
-When I have given wrong answers to the questions during recitation, I would like to be
corrected by my teachers and schoolmates with respect like they will not laugh on me.
-When I am expressing my opinion during class or group discussion, I want my classmates/
group mates to listen while I am speaking.
- When I am giving suggestions during group work or presentation, I want my group mates
to listen and not to judge me that I want them to follow me.
-When I commit mistake, I want those people to correct me in a proper manner.
-When I do not like what they are asking me to do, I like them to respect my opinion and help
me to do the task instead of talking about me.
-When they want to give me their comments or suggestions, I like it if they will speak to me
in a good manner that it cannot hurt my feelings.

b) In terms of dealing with the MCL community, I can commit to myself that I will treat them with respect by thinking first and looking carefully to what I am acting.

VALUES EDUCATION-3rd Meeting

1) Day 1
Since high school, one of my values is my family. I always try to show how I value my family for it always inspires me in my studies. And today, I really focused on practicing this value. Before, I was tired in doing many school works, but on this day, I kept in my mind that all of these things are for my family. And this thought helped me feel good even if I am tired. I have learned that it feels good if I really make my family and God as the center of my life. They can help me relieve all the stress and depressions that I have, and thy can make me stronger all the time. That is why I will continue to apply this value.

Day2
My second most appreciated value is systemization. Before, I was lazy to organize all the tasks I should do. However, I have experienced many difficulties because of this. That is why I have realized that I should be systematic in college. Even at the first day of school, I started to make notes of the things I should do to help me in remembering and organizing all the tasks. It felt more convenient to be systematic. And as of now, I am learning how to organize and budget my time ad priorities properly. I have learned that this value really helps me a lot so I will keep practicing and applying it.

2) When I attended the Freshmen Night, I saw how the Malayan students had fun especially when the Mom’s Cake band performed. I also saw how good the students are in meeting the visitors during the event because, even if it is raining, the students still stayed near the stage. But still, some students chose to stay inside the canteen or go home after class because the had the free shirt and student planner.
I felt happy and I also enjoyed the event because I was with my friends while watching the performers, especially my favorite band, the Mom’s Cake. I really like how they entertained the audience. And the thing that I disliked is it was raining and there were no chairs.
I have learned that I am so blessed that I belong to alpha batch because the administration really makes me feel how the students are important to them. That is why I really want to thank them for allowing us to experience fun aside from quality education.

VALUES EDUCATION-2nd Meeting

1) My first week stay at MCL was fine but I was a little nervous because of the new environment and expectations. Aside from being nervous, I feel comfortable and happy also about my teachers and schoolmates especially my classmates, because they are all good and nice. I find my courses not so easy and not so difficult because we are still discussing about the basic topics. The part that is hard for me about my courses are the requirements. It is hard for me to save money because I have to buy the requirements for a course. As a sort of adjustment, I must be independent and attentive in every class so that I can pass all the courses. I must be disciplined, sociable and open-minded, and be a positive thinker, so that I can be successful in meeting the terms of a academics, emotions and social involvement.

2) I like my first year in college be a great beginning. I want to be an honor student in college and to achieve this I must study hard.

3) Top 10 Values I will try to prioritize:
-Communication
-Continuous Improvement
-Excellence
-Hardwork
-Independence
-Positive Attitude
-Strength
-Discipline
-Family
-Systemization

VALUES EDUCATION- 1st Meeting

1) Values Education helps me in forming my spiritual being. It helps me to learn to have good attitudes. As I study in Malayan Colleges Laguna, it will not only educate me to be excellent but also to have the virtue or the values through the help of values education.

2) As I experience now my few days of college life in MCL, it will help me to achieve successful adjustment in college by accepting the ways that a college student must act. I must think that I am now a college student who must act more mature, responsible, hardworking, independent, and well disciplined by following the rules in college.

The Files

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in a room filled with small files, which seemed to go on forever. The first file to catch my attention read "Boys I Have Liked." I quickly shut the file, shocked to realize that I knew these boys. And then, I knew exactly where I was. This lifeless room was a card catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of every single moment.

I began randomly opening files and exploring their contents. Some brought joy and sweet memories: others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching. The files ranged from "Friends", to "Friends I Have Betrayed." "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I Have Given," "Things I Have Mutter Under My Breath." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents. It didn't seem possible that I could have written all of these cards, but each card was in my own handwriting, and each signed with my signature.
When I came to one marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, and shuddered at it's detailed content. Rage exploded within me. NO ONE MUST EVER SEE THESE CARDS! I HAVE TO DESTROY THEM! In an insane frenzy, I yanked the file out and began pounding it on the floor, but I couldn't dislodge a single card. I tried to tear a single card, only to find that it was as hard as steel. Defeated and helpless, I let out a long sigh, and then I saw it. The title read "People with Whom I Have Shared The Gospel." The handle was brighter than those around it. Newer, Almost unused. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

I fell to my knees and cried out of shame--the overwhelming shame of it all. But as I pushed away the tears I saw Him. No! NOT HERE. ANYONE BUT JESUS. Why did he have to go through every one? He seemed intuitively to go to the worst boxes. I dropped my head and covered my face with my hands. He walked over and put His arms around me. He could have said so many things, but he didn't say a word. He just cried with me. He got up and went back to the first file and began signing his name over mine. "No!" I shouted. I grabbed the card from him and there it was-- written in red so rich, so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine, it was written with His blood.

He gently took the card back and continued signing. I don't know how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side, He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished." I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on the door. There were still cards to be written

The Ant and the Contact Lens

Brenda was a young woman who was invited to go rock climbing. Although she was scared to death, she went with her group to a tremendous granite cliff. She put on the gear, took a hold on the rope, and started up the face of that rock. Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather. As she was hanging on there, the safety rope snapped against Brenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens. Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with hundreds of feet below her and hundreds of feet above her. Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping it had landed on the ledge, but it just wasn't there. She prayed to the Lord to help her to find it.
When she got to the top, she looked out across range after range of mountains, thinking of that Bible verse that says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth." She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me." Finally, they walked down the trail to the bottom. At the bottom there was a new party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?" Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across the face of the rock, carrying it, and saying "Lord, I don't know why you want me to carry this. I can't eat it and it's awfully heavy, but whatever you want me to carry, I will carry."

The Computer Contest

Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better on their computer. They had been going at it for what seemed like an eternity.

Finally God said, "Cool it you two, I will conduct a contest that will last 2 hours, and I will judge who does the best job.

So Satan and Jesus sat down at their keyboards and went at it.

They typed.
They moused.
They did spreadsheets.
They wrote reports.
They sent faxes.
They sent e-mails.
They sent attachments.
They downloaded.
They made cards.
They did every known job that a computer could do.
Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java(tm).
But 5 minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder clapped, the rain poured, and of course the electricity went off. Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in hell. Jesus just sighed.

The electricity flicked and then came back on.

They both restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically and screamed, "It's gone. It's all gone. I lost everything when the power went off."

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of the files from the past 2 hours. Satan observed this and become irate.

"Wait! He cheated! How did he do it?"

God shrugged and said, "Jesus saves."

Grandma's Double Rainbow

My Mother use to always say,
When someone special passed away;
They'd send a rainbow to let you know,
They'd arrived in Heaven and low and behold;

On the day she left us to be with Him,
My youngest daughter came running in;
And said, "Oh! Mom, please come and see,
What Grandma's sent to you and me.

I ran outside and looked up in the sky,
We saw the rainbow and with a tear in my eye;
I looked again and there were two,
I said, "One for me and one for you."

I ran for my camera a photo to take,
It wouldn't last long, make no mistake;
I clicked away so I could show,
Everyone Grandma's double rainbow.

We talk about this every now and then,
And think about what's at the rainbow's end;
We'll see her again, I know this is true,
God has said to us, "Now, don't be blue."

"She's safe with me and all is well,
For in my house good people dwell;"
She sends God's angels to look over us,
She's o.k., for we have His word to trust.

We feel at peace and she is too,
This special thing we always knew;
Deep inside I feel this is so,
'Cause Grandma told us with her double rainbow.

P.U.S.H.

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all of his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into his weary mind: "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough." That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. "Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?" The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done. Now I, my friend, will move the rock." At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him. By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves the mountains.
When everything seems to go wrong ... just P.U.S.H.!
When the job gets you down ... just P.U.S.H.!
When people don't react the way you think they should..... just P.U.S.H.!

When people just don't understand you ... just P.U.S.H.!

Mommy went to heaven, but I need her here today,My tummy hurts and I fell down, I need her right away.Operator can you tell me how to find her in this book?Is heaven in the yellow part, I don't know where to look.I think my daddy needs her too, at night I hear him cry.I hear him call her name sometimes, but I really don't know why.Maybe if I call her, she will hurry home to me.Is heaven very far away, is it across the sea?

The Lord's Baseball Game

Bob was caught up in the spirit where he and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord's team was playing Satan's team. The Lord's team was at bat, the score was tied zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the 9th inning with two outs.

They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate whose name was Love. Love swung at the first pitch and hit a single, because Love never fails.

The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single because Faith works with Love.

The next batter was named Godly Wisdom. Satan wound up and threw the first pitch. Godly Wisdom looked it over and let it pass, because Godly Wisdom does not swing at Satan's pitches. Ball one. Three more pitches and Godly Wisdom walked, because Godly Wisdom never swings at Satan's throws.

The bases were loaded. The Lord then turned to Bob and told him He was now going to bring in His star player. Up to the plate stepped Grace. Bob said he sure did not look like much!

Satan's whole team relaxed when they saw Grace. Thinking he had won the game, Satan wound up and fired his first pitch. To the shock of everyone, Grace hit the ball harder than anyone had ever seen. But Satan was not worried; his center fielder, the Prince of the air, let very few get by. He went up for the ball, but it went right through his glove, hit him on the head, and sent him crashing on the ground; then it continued over the fence for a home run! The Lord's team won.

The Lord then asked Bob if he knew why Love, Faith, and Godly Wisdom could get on base but could not win the game. Bob answered that he did not know why.

The Lord explained, "If your love, faith and wisdom had won the game you would think you had done it by yourself. Love, faith and wisdom will get you on base, but only My grace can get you home. My grace is the one thing Satan can not stop.

IT ALL STARTS WITH U

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God even stuck U in the name of His Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's true
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.
And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan.
The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.
When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's true.
That I love them all - Just like I love U."
So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?
It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know - But it all starts with U.

Learn To Fly, Like A Butterfly

The air is full of butterflies.
Flying so effortlessly in the sky.
No weight they carry, to hold them down.
Never a worry or a frown.

And yet not long ago, they were...
A crawling little... caterpillar.
I wonder if they knew they'd be...
A beautifully butterfly, flying so free.
Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java.
They do not question how long they'll live...
But are happy with each day God gives.
They trust that he will always provide,
whatever they need...to survive.

So learn to trust...and fly away,
from cares and worries of today.
See how beautiful life can be...
Rely on Jesus, to supply your needs.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned,
in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content...But
my God shall supply all your needs according to his
riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

A Mothers Love

by Author Unknown

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:
For cutting the grass: $5.00 For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00 For going to the store for you: $.50 Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25 Taking out the garbage: $1.00 For getting a good report card: $5.00 For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00 Total owed: $14.75
Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge
Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

The Power of "PERHAPS"

© by Anita Foley

Do you find that every time you think about making a change in your life you sabotage yourself by thinking it is unlikely that you'll be able to do it? Do all the negative, self-limiting thoughts come to the forefront and stop you in your tracks? You must learn to change these self-imposed limitations that are preventing you from reaching your potential. Then you can transform your life and achieve your dreams.
An unlikelihood CAN become a possibility, which can lead to a probability, if you use the power of PERHAPS. You can use this simple word to change your negative beliefs into possibilities; and that is the first step toward changing them into probabilities.
Remember when you were a kid and you asked your parents if you could have something? If their answer was "No, you can't," you knew there wasn't much chance you'd get it. But, if their answer was, "Perhaps, we'll see," it usually meant you'd be able to convince them.
The word PERHAPS left the door open to negotiation; it meant there was a POSSIBILITY that you'd get what you'd asked for. All you had to do was be persistent from that point on and you would probably get what you wanted. There's POWER in the word PERHAPS.
You can use the power of PERHAPS today, also, just like when you were a kid.
How?
By using the word PERHAPS in place of the words I CAN'T and I WON'T.
Let's say, for example, you have a belief that you can't do math. Either you did poorly in the subject when you were in school (internal belief from past experience) or someone told you that you were not good in math (external belief). What would happen if you simply changed "I can't do math" to "PERHAPS I can do math"? The word PERHAPS opens up the belief to other possibilities. It allows for some action to be taken that could result in a change in the belief. "PERHAPS I can do math if I . . ."
- get a tutor - take a class - study harder - concentrate more - buy some math software - work with numbers more often - read a math textbook
Instead of just giving in to a negative belief, you are open to taking some ACTION that will help you change the belief. "I CAN'T do math" can become "PERHAPS I can do math if I take some action" and then become "I CAN probably do math".
Likewise, "I WON'T make money with an online business" becomes "PERHAPS I can make money with an online business if I start one and work at it" to "I CAN probably make money with an online business." Do you see how changing that one word will change the whole feeling of the belief?
Use the word PERHAPS to change your negative beliefs to possibilities that invite ACTION and, ultimately, to positive beliefs and probabilities.
Think about the potential outcome for your changed beliefs. Changing your negative beliefs is the first step in the transformation process that will really make a difference in your life. What are your possibilities?

A Motivational Story with Wisdom -

The Power of Words
by Author Unkown

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. All the other frogs gathered around the pit. When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead.
The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all of their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out.
When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.
This story gives us thoughts to think about: 1. An encouraging word to someone who is down can encourage them to achieve their goal. 2. A destructive word to someone who is down can have negative effects. Be careful of what you say.

A BEAUTIFUL PRAYER

by Miss Joanne Gobure from Uaboe in Nauru

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole,
his body is only temporary

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings;
Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life,
so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ahhhh,
finally you have the idea.

Power of Two

Now the parking lot is empty
Everyone's gone someplace
I pick you up and in the trunk I've packed
A cooler and a two-day suitcase
Cause there's a place we like to drive
Way out in the country
Five miles out of the city limit we're singing
And your hand's upon my knee

So we're okay, we're fine
Baby I'm here to stop your crying
Chase all the ghosts from your head
I'm stronger than the monster beneath your bed
Smarter than the tricks played on your heart
We'll look at them together then we'll take them apart
Adding up the total of a love that's true
Multiply life by the power of two

You know the things I'm afraid of
I'm not afraid to tell
And if we ever leave a legacy
It's that we loved each other well
Cause I've seen the shadows of so many people
Trying on the treasures of youth
But a road that's fancy and fast ends in a fatal crash
And I'm glad we got off to tell you the truth

Cause we're okay, we're fine
BabyI'm here to stop your crying
Chase all the ghosts from your head
I'm stronger than the monster beneath your bed
Smarter than the tricks played on your heart
We'll look at them together then we'll take them apart
Adding up the total of a love that's true
Multiply life by the power of two

Emily:All the shiny little trinkets of temptation
Something new instead of something old
All you gotta do is scratch beneath the surface
And it's fool's gold
Fool's gold
Fool's gold

Amy:Make new friends but
Keep the old
But remember
What is gold
What is gold
What is gold
Now we're talking bout a difficult thing
And your eyes are getting wet
I tookus for better and I took us for worse
Now don't you ever forget
Now the steel bars between me and a promise
Suddenly bend with ease
And the closer I'm bound in love to you
The closer I am to free

So we're okay, we're fine
Baby I'm here to stop your crying
Chase all the ghosts from your head
I'm stronger than a monster beneath your bed
I'm smarter than the tricks played on your heart
We'll look at them together then we'll take them apart
Adding up the totals of a love that's true
Multiply life by the power of two
